I dedicate this volume to Bucks Burnett. He co-wrote "Cortez Calling (Dream World)" which is the theme of this collection. Bucks was always a volcano of ideas, and concept albums were bread and butter to him. His poems inspired me, and when they didn't he didn't care! We'd hatch ideas about Neil, Monkees, Mott, Faces, Bowie, etc. etc. and they tuned into some pretty damn great songs. I'll miss him, and he'll be lurching about in my mind for as long as I can last on this sad and wonderful world.
